In the middle of the village is a small old house named..... Casa Anna, it has been restored with empathy, the inside walls being stone and plaster with barrelled ceilings. The sitting room is large with double arched doors onto the quiet street outside. The kitchen and bathroom/wet room is extremely well fitted and comfortable.

The bedroom is large with a beautiful unusual fireplace, double doors leading on to the balcony and views across the mountains and on to the street below. The house is extremely well furnished and comfortable, with a lot of attention paid to the lighting and equipment.

There are interesting features including a large mural on the staircase.

It sleeps two, but there is a sofa bed in the sitting room, which would sleep another 2 people. It sits in the sun most of the day.

Price all year round......

£180. per week for 2 people..approx. £12.p.n.p.person. in the summer season.
£200. per week October to March
£250. per week for 4 people in summer
£280. per week for 4 people in winter.

This house has use of a garden, 3 minutes walk from the house.

Property is equipped with TV/Video, C.D. player and radio and well equipped kitchen, with attention paid to small detail, making them a home from home environment. The reception is good for orange and vodaphone.

Guests are asked to bring their own sheets, pillowcases and towels, although there are emergency supplies at both properties. Guests are also asked to leave the accommodation as clean and as crisp as found when leaving.

There is a train station in the next village, Goriano Sicoli, 10 mins. drive away, and buses leave Castel-di-Ieri daily. The restaurant in the village cooks excellent Italian dishes and is owned by English speaking Italians. A surprising amount of Italians in the area speak English. The village is home to approx. 10 English families .

The area would be ideal for people wanting breathtaking scenery and walking; people interested in nature, swimming and skiing and who want access to Rome and large towns offering good shopping facilities and many places of historical importance. People who love the arts, opera, theatre, dance, festivals, rock festivals (one of the largest rock festivals takes place in Castel-di-Ieri each year).
